Friday evening I was able to watch Jacqueline perform in the play Anne of Green Gables. She was Ruby, one of the classmates. She had no speaking part but did have a very brief solo. One of these days she will have a lead part...I just know it! As a kid I was in a few plays. Susan in The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Mother Superior in Sound of Music and Cava (sp) in Fiddler on the Roof. I loved performing! And Jacqueline is the same way. As you can see, the camera loves her. I just wish I loved the camera! We might need to look into another one. The play was wonderful. Done as a musical and though I have the book I have never read it except for bits and pieces here and there. I will read it now!
I've talked about the game nights I have with ladies from my Bible study. We play Mexican Train. Jeri always wins...I think she cheats...she calls it 'strategy'. A wonderful group of ladies!

Craig even got to play in this game a little.
Liam is addicted to trains. Has been for a very long time. Last January David came to stay with us. One of the first questions Liam asked him was if he liked trains. David responded that he really didn't. In shock and utter disbelief Liam asked "are you okay?" That might give you an idea of his love for them. After church last night we stopped at the little store in our town. The tracks run right across the street from it. A nice long train went by as we were there. Liam couldn't stop talking about that train and asked the lady at the checkout if she had seen it? Heard it? Liked it? Wanted to ride it? I think she was tired and not really picking up on his excitement because her answers were very brief and certainly did not do anything toward feeding his passion. And as you can see, this particular set has about 500 miles of track that he is not the least bit hesitant about spreading all over the downstairs. I can't tell you how many times I have bumped into a bridge and caused major trauma to the architect. Then there was the one time I stepped on a single track in just the perfect way to slide and nearly lose my balance. I am way too old for this!!! Things could break if I fall!!! Mainly ME!
This next part is for Uncle Lance and Aunt Missy. But anyone else is welcome to read:)
Here are some Christmas pictures with your gifts.

I think Jacqueline and Lauren have similar smiles. Even when I had nice white teeth I never smiled that big. So I guess they didn't get it from me. But all their other wonderful qualities...... she was very excited to open the book set from you.
Christmas morning Liam woke me up "mommy! there's a Polar Express Train downstairs! get up, hurry!"
That beats last year...."mommy, there's a train downstairs and my diaper is ooowweeee."
And now I leave you with a parting shot...and a Liamism.....this evening Liam wanted a new train app for his Kindle Fire. He hunted daddy down and turned on the charm. Craig started going through the ones Liam was pointing to saying "this one is 99 cents, this one is 99 cents etc. Liam would say "awww, ooh" and show concern that everything was so much. Then he pointed to one and Craig said "that one is $2.99" Liam got so excited and said "we can afford that one daddy!! Get it for me pleeeeeeze!" I should also add that this whole time Liam is dripping with sugar. Touching daddies face, kissing him, hugging him. What a show!
I know I mentioned a parting shot but I just thought of this and wanted to share with you. I have been hearing so much the last several months at church and on the cd's I listen to about tying 'heart strings' with our children. It is so important to have their hearts. And often I feel like Craig has Liam's heart more than I do. Yesterday, Liam wanted to play baby bird again. And he wanted me to feed him a pear like a baby bird. So he would open his mouth really wide and I would give him a bite. At one point I asked him if I was tying heart strings with him. He shrugged and said "I don't know". I asked him if he knew what heart strings were and again he said he didn't. I said that they were when someone is doing something that makes you happy and makes you feel special and loved. "Am I making you feel that way?" He snuggled up closer to me and nodded his head. I want the string between our hearts to become three strand ropes! Unbreakable!
