Liam is still at that age where he loves to help. Let me clarify...he loves to help with anything that does not involve picking up after himself. He loves to help me in the kitchen, especially when it comes to breaking eggs. I have not let him crack an egg into a bowl yet but he has great fun playing with the shells in the sink. I have let him stir and help pour into baking pans. And you all saw the post where Auntie Pam let him cut. She is so much more patient than I am. He helps me with laundry sometimes. He pulls clothes out of the dryer and hands them to me to fold. He is capable of carrying his clothes upstairs and putting them away. We did learn the hard way that dressers tip over when all the drawers are pulled out! Thank goodness for Thomas the Tank Engine beds that catch the dresser before it hits the child! He likes to help vacuum and sweep and today he wanted to help load the dishwasher...in my head I was saying "let him help! You can always reorganize when he is in bed" but did I? No....I am horrible!
But his true calling is helping his daddy. And he is such a big help I hear! On this day it was time to change the oil in the truck. Liam did quite a bit of engine work while daddy did his job.

You may think these pictures were taken last fall or summer. They are dressed for much warmer weather...flippies and all....but no, this was last month. It was probably 40 degrees outside and though I put Liam's jacket on him...it wasn't on for long. This is Craig's first 4-wheel drive vehicle and it has been a true blessing this winter! Thirteen inches of snow topped with a layer of ice hasn't slowed him down! Back when these Dodge Rams first came out I thought they were the most 'handsome' truck I had ever seen. Way back then I thought it would be great to own one one day. Craig's mom bought this for him! She blesses our lives over and over. It has been a great truck!
Now for the Liamism....not so much something he said but more something he does. When I practice the piano he sits on the bench with me or plays on the floor by me. Sometimes he will hum along or sing if he has heard the words enough to know some of them. And he dictates what I do. "Words mommy" he will say if he wants me to sing along. He has heard me sing along to Bringing in the Sheaves a couple times. Today he asked me to play the garden song "You know mommy, the song about the garden and the leaves". And he really enjoys March of the Cinnamon Bears....yes...I am playing out of the books I used back in the 70's when I was a tween. And when you are that age you do play about Cinnamon Bears. After I was done he said "okay mommy, good job practicing....now you can have a special treat". He enjoyed his goldfish:)
