Rain, rain, go away......
The rain is back...I am never happy I have determined. When it is warm and sunny outside I am ready for winter and cold. When it is wet and drippy outside I am ready for summer and warm. Well...at least by mid-March I am tired of the wet, cold rain and ready for some sun! They are promising Monday will bring it....we will see.
Today is National Scrabble Day. I have people in my life who seem to like that game. I am not one of them. My mom really likes it. Someday I should just give in and play a game with her. The ladies I meet with one Wednesday a month also like it. But we haven't played it for the last couple months...I am not sure if my constant complaining had anything to do with that. We now play Dutch Blitz. I wonder if there is a National Dutch Blitz Day? Seems there should be one....if there is a National Eat Something On a Stick Day....
I got two of the bathrooms clean. One to go. Still haven't gotten to the ironing...but I thought I should probably get the laundry done so all the ironing is ready at the same time...so then I think I don't really feel like doing laundry.....So there you have it. a frightening thought process. They all are!!! And now I am trying to think of what to do for dinner...use the leftover chicken and make chicken alfredo or make a stew to use up some leftover dinner rolls. What to do, what to do! Craig picked up our prescriptions yesterday....lets just say eating out is out of the question! There was a time when being a state employee meant good benefits....that is a thing of the past. But I know that there are those who struggle just to put food on the table and can not even comprehend a doctor visit. So I thank God for blessing us with a job that provides insurance and the ability to meet our medical needs.
